Mike joined BDP in 2015 to strengthen the design and commercial capabilities particularly within the North West region.

Mike has successfully combined a distinguished career in architectural practice with teaching and working in commercial development from a client/contractor perspective.

He is particularly interested in exploring concepts of resilience and adaptation within design and creating buildings and places that are able to flex and change in response to shifting climatic, social and technological structures.

What will be the key characteristic of the industry in 2050?

Data and communication will pervade and reshape every aspect of our lives.  We need to have the foresight to design buildings that are resilient to change and that will remain relevant in a world with rapidly shifting physical and social structures.
