Jennifer is an architect director based in the Sheffield studio. She works in the healthcare sector and is a high-level clinical designer of acute hospitals.

Jennifer worked on the rapid design and configuration of the Nightingale Hospital in Harrogate which increased the NHS bed capacity in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

She is the architect advisor to the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for the design and construction of the Proton Beam Therapy Centre.

During her 20 years with BDP Jennifer has helped win and deliver many major commissions, including Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, Victoria Hospital, Fife, Romford Queen’s Hospital, Essex, Southmead Hospital, Bristol and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool.

She also designs and implements programmes and processes for efficient and effective interface between clinicians, clients and our own project teams.

How do you measure the success of a project?

“By the degree of planning efficiency and standardisation achieved for each hospital trust or health board. This way we can create hospitals that serve both their immediate and future requirements.”
