Mark is a principal who, as chair of our design profession and head of workplace, champions the very highest standards of design in the delivery of world class projects.
He originally joined BDP in 1985 before founding his own consultancy then rejoined the practice in 2011. The design profession works across all sectors, often in collaboration with our other professions as well as winning its own commissions for tier one clients such as PwC, easyJet, Eversheds Sutherland, The Royal Albert Hall and many other public and private sector clients. The studio is regularly the recipient of industry awards and recently won the Regional Fit-out of Workplace award for its work on PwC’s new Manchester HQ.
Mark writes regularly for the design press and has judged many design awards for FX and WIN, as well as chairing the judging panel for the Mixology awards since their inception in 2005. He was awarded the Mixology Henry Pugh Outstanding Contribution Award in 2018 and our design team was awarded Design Practice of the Year at the Mixology Awards 2019.
BDP was recently described to me as being as much a university as a design firm, that struck a chord. Following graduation I joined BDP’s studio in London. The experience and philosophy I gained from the firm and people here then has stayed with me, it’s what brought me back.
