Mark Simpson wins outstanding achievement award

Mark Simpson, chair of design and head of workplace, has won the Henry Pugh Outstanding Contribution Award at this year’s Mixology Awards.

Mixology is the most prestigious award ceremony and summer ball created for the dynamic and innovative interior design community, and the awards are given to the groundbreakers and boundary pushers recognising the most influential people and companies.

Mick Jordan, editor of Mix Interiors, who presented the prize cited Mark’s leadership and his many clients including AstraZeneca, PwC, Google and Palace of Westminster. He also said Mark had contributed more than anyone else to the magazine in its history as well as being a judge for every one of the last 12 years’ awards.

Mark started his career at BDP, returned to the practice in 2011, and was appointed to principal in 2017. He said “It is a great honour to receive this award. Henry, who founded Mix Interiors, was a very good friend and to receive an award in his name is very special.”

He was recently profiled in FX Magazine and you can read the full article about his career here.
