Project details

A comprehensive refurbishment for Bank of New York Mellon, incorporating enhancements to the front of house areas and reception, demonstrating how focused lighting interjections at a key stage can bring significant value to the finished environment.

Tuneable white technology was utilised within the ambient lighting scheme, transforming the space from bright and cool during the day to warm and calm into the evening. The timber wall cladding was given emphasis by uplighting with a soft, warm light. Wall washing to the concrete walls in the single height visitor lounge maximises vertical brightness and reveals the texture of the material.

Low level accent lighting to the planters highlights key species as well as creating a play of light and shadow on the soffit. Integrated lighting to the lift portals creates a graphic framing feature to the openings within the dark timber cladding.
