Project details

Respect the rich history of the area and complement the many fine listed buildings and the ancient city walls.

We have created a place for people, encouraging pedestrian movement through the city centre, and creating a series of attractive and flexible spaces that will provide locations for planned and spontaneous events.

The character of the connecting streets and public spaces has been reinforced through the introduction of innovative lighting to enhance the area; and the creation of spaces for the display of new public art.

The newly developed paving stones, seats and especially the new water features have provided hours of endless entertainment for young people from across the city.
