Spearheading urban renewal with a new piazza and gardens.

We refined the brief through consultation with the client, local population, and stakeholders. The design introduced distinct character zones, including a piazza-style town square for socialising, events, and market stalls, alongside gardens with a children’s play area and lawns. The project also transformed the river by removing its concrete channel, integrating it into the site, and encouraging native flora and fauna to thrive. High-quality pedestrian and cycle lanes now connect the area to the town centre, complemented by new public art, lighting, and signage.
The result is a revitalised space that enhances Lewisham’s sense of identity, creating a well-lit, sociable, and safe environment.
