Project details

An artificial and daylight design for a new build contemporary visual arts complex by architect Rafael Viñoly. The centre provides flexible presentation and exhibition spaces, a cafe and restaurants, an auditorium, conference facilities and meeting areas.

The crescent-shaped building is wrapped in a unique golden coloured copper-aluminium alloy creating a dramatic presence to draw in the crowds. The wow factor continues inside with the entrance foyer, a double height space that is flooded with daylight.

BDP worked with the architect to analyse and sculpt the building to maximise natural daylight.

It was a delight and privilege to work on such a high profile project that will bring joy and culture to generations to come.
