Project details

The project is located within a sport themed park, and consists of a leisure complex based around an indoor sports hall. The site has been extensively landscaped already, and is fully established ready for a new building.

The building sits on a central axis, directly connecting it to a feature jetty which projects into the lake.

A dramatic curved canopy roof will sit alongside the shimmering lake, echoing the classical style of Chinese architecture, and serving as a beacon of health and fitness inspiring the local population to good health and wellbeing.

Brief

  • provide a landmark leisure facility on an exceptional site overlooking lake Yin Shan
  • maximise the outlook from the building so that views of the lake are fully exploited and enjoyed
