Project details

Portobello Harbour Hotel is a six storey building with 179 bedrooms. It uses a framed slate slab to give uninterrupted service zones at each floorplate coupled with blade structural columns hidden within partition walls at all upper floors.

Designed on poor ground conditions over a basement, the superstructure adopts a piled foundation solution extending the existing basement footprint. Sustainable urban drainage systems are incorporated as part of the overall civil and drainage methodology to comply with Dublin City Council standards.
