PwC Manchester

Facts

Location Client Completion
Manchester, UK PwC 2017

Project details

PwC’s Manchester office spreads across three prime floors of the One Spinningfields building. The two practice floors consist of large collaborative working areas and flexible meeting pods that can be easily relocated and connect to adjacent mechanical and electrical services. These two floors are linked by a feature staircase that incorporates ‘Spanish steps’ style seating.

Meeting spaces are on the seventh floor alongside a café and three roof terraces. A link bridge connects two main internal areas which have flexible secure lines, including pivoting doors with a mesh screen and automated slide aside doors and moveable partitions.

A strong Manchester identity is conveyed throughout the scheme. The area’s topography, its industrial heritage and bee symbolism and are featured in lighting, flooring and wall panelling.

Since 2005, BDP has worked with PwC as part of a wider framework, undertaking new office relocation and existing refurbishment throughout the UK.
