Luke Starkey named among Mix Interiors' 30 under 30 rising stars
Luke Starkey has been recognised as one of the UK’s most promising young interior designers, earning a place in the Mix Interiors 30 Under 30 Class of 2025.
The annual list celebrates emerging talent from across the commercial interiors industry, highlighting individuals who are shaping the future of workplace, hospitality, and education design through creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
Luke brings to BDP a passion for inclusive, healthy, and human-centred design. A graduate of Manchester School of Art, his early projects – including Head Space, a communal centre designed for neurodivergent users, and FOCI, an exploration of hyperfixation and spatial wellbeing – reflect his commitment to creating environments that promote mental health, inclusivity, and thoughtful user experience.
Since joining BDP three years ago, Luke has continued to develop that approach across a range of projects, applying research-led design thinking and a deep understanding of user needs to deliver spaces that support wellbeing and adaptability.

“Being named in the Mix Interiors 30 Under 30 list is a huge honour. Having joined BDP just three years ago, it’s incredibly rewarding to be recognised for the passion and hard work that I put into my projects every day. It feels like a real milestone in my journey, and a sign that I am making my mark on the industry.
“I owe a huge amount of credit to the amazing design team that I work with at BDP. They put me forward for the award and continue to inspire, support and challenge me to grow as a designer.”
Luke’s inclusion in Mix Interiors’ 30 Under 30 places him among a select group of designers recognised for their influence and potential to drive meaningful change in the built environment. BDP’s ongoing investment in nurturing emerging talent and supporting diverse perspectives within its multidisciplinary design teams continues to see them create inspiring, inclusive, and sustainable places across the globe.
