Alfie Gilbert
Head of Social Value

Alfie is a highly experienced consultant who brings both UK and international experience to his position as Head of Social Value at BDP.

Prior to joining BDP, Alfie held key consultancy positions within social value and sustainability, working for client, contractor, and supply chain organisations within the built environment. He has experience in delivering services across sustainability principles, with a particular specialism in social and governance elements, working with both public and private sector clients across strategy, benefits management, needs assessments, ESG due diligence, impact assessment, and performance management. He also has wider experience in topics such as EDI, community engagement, modern slavery, procurement, and performance management.

Alfie is driven by ensuring projects and organisations are maximising opportunities for environmental, social, and economic benefit creation, enabled through effective and efficient processes around decision-making, vision setting, measurement, reporting, and communications. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, and a Practitioner of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
