We have completed the interior design for PwC’s new Glasgow headquarters, delivering a workplace that is flexible, sustainable and deeply rooted in its city context.

Located in the ten-storey Grade A Aurora Building at 120 Bothwell Street, the space accommodates around 500 of PwC’s Glasgow staff and complements the building’s net-zero operational carbon status, A+ EPC rating and BREEAM Excellent accreditation. Drawing on Glasgow’s industrial heritage, shipbuilding legacy on the River Clyde and its rich natural landscapes, we developed a layered interior spanning two levels. On the lower level, we created a grounded zone for focused, desk-based work; above, a lively realm of collaboration spaces, a client suite, event spaces and a dramatic central stair.
Materials and finishes reference the city’s history: exposed structure, varied textures and locally-inspired details. A co-design process with PwC people informed layout, zoning, material palette and character, so the space authentically reflects those who use it.
Sustainability and wellbeing are embedded through biophilic planting, responsibly sourced materials and low-energy strategies. Meeting rooms are named after Glasgow parks, reinforcing the city’s “Dear Green Place” identity. The outcome is a place where people feel connected to one another, inspired by place and ready for the future.

“Our design celebrates Glasgow’s distinct personality by connecting its industrial past with its progressive future. PwC’s staff were clear and unanimous in their intentions for this office. As such, we have created an environment that balances professional functionality with warmth, character and a genuine sense of place. This is a workplace designed to support flexibility, encourage connection and make people feel proud to come in to the office.”
