Our principals lead the way

BDP is led by a group of Principals who are responsible for the governance, strategic direction, and overall accountability of the business. They fulfil a range of leadership roles across studios, professions, and sectors, guiding design quality and supporting sustainable growth.

The Executive Management Group, appointed by the Principals, oversees the day-to-day operations of the business, including financial performance and operational delivery.

We are part of Integrated Design and Engineering Holdings Co., Ltd (ID&E), and our CEO, Nick Fairham, sits on the Board of Executives, contributing to the development of group-wide strategy and governance.

Good design is imperative to the success our business, as it enhances our reputation and attracts talented people. Our Design Council identifies and shares best practice and guidance to inspire our multidisciplinary teams to push boundaries and deliver high quality sustainable design solutions.

Strategy Council

Our Strategy Council brings together profession and business leaders, with a remit to shape and drive initiatives that deliver our strategic vision, support the attraction and retention of talented people, and strengthen our collaborative culture.

They are supported by our NextGen Council, which acts as a sounding board—offering diverse perspectives and fresh insights on key topics and ideas.

Emerging leadership

Across our studios, our people have created a range of inspiring networks that give a voice to those at the early stages of their careers, such as our New Thinkers group, as well as forums that support those looking to build industry connections, including our Emerging Leaders Network.

We actively support these groups and initiatives, recognising their important role in helping our people grow, connect, and develop both personally and professionally.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our culture forums are helping us to create a dynamic, inclusive organisation where our people can share their ideas and views and lead positive change. BDP Belonging is our equity, diversity and inclusion steering group, BDP Mind champions employee wellbeing, and BDP Life provides feedback on business plans and policy changes.
