Continuous learning opportunities
The growth and development of our people is one of our top priorities. That’s why we offer a range of informal and formal learning opportunities, to help our people acquire new hard and soft skills, and get to the next step of their careers.
We have a competency-based approach to our annual appraisals, encouraging people to discuss their career aspirations and their development needs. We have several mentoring programs that people can engage with, and an internal online learning platform that houses over 300 training and development courses. These cover topics from interpersonal skills, to comprehensive training for BIM software, and everything in between. Each profession also hosts online and in person CPD events to help colleagues keep their skills and knowledge up to date.
Our Show and Tell presentations and Design Forums are where people share their ideas on design, and take deep dives into our most interesting and unique projects from across the practice. Our innovation group, BDP Lab also brings together formal and informal research and thought leadership, running practice-wide challenges to encourage innovation and new thinking.
