Bata Shoe Factory recognised at the International Design Awards

The winners of IDA 21 were recently announced and Bata Shoe Factory has received an Honourable Mention from this prestigious award program. Recognised in the Architecture - Renovation category, Bata Shoe Factory is an innovative adaptive reuse project that respects the Modernist heritage of the original structure and focuses on building a more sustainable future by integrating a geothermal heating and cooling system.

The International Design Awards was established in 2007 and aims to recognise, celebrate and promote exceptional design visionaries and discover emerging talent in architecture, interior, product, graphic and fashion design worldwide.
