Mark leads of our Liverpool Studio and the Manchester studio’s Residential Mixed Use Sector, as well as acting as joint lead of the UK’s Housing Sector.

He brings with him significant track record in delivering high quality award winning buildings and town centre regeneration projects.

He has been involved in a diverse range of projects including; Residential, Retail, Education and Leisure across the UK and Internationally developing specialist knowledge across each of these sectors during this time, and bringing with that insight into unique lessons learnt and opportunities for clients. He is passionate about delivering high quality buildings and places that both innovate, and work within clients budgets, and programmes. He is known for his town centre regeneration experience and expertise and has helped shape a large number of town centre transformation plans resulting in deliverable and exciting outcomes for both Local Authorities and Developers.

Mark also brings with him a unique set of expertise with regards EXPO Pavilions and Laisure buildings designing six Expo Pavilions to date and delivering two, including the multi award winning UK Pavilion at Milan World Expo 2015.

Weir Mill, Stockport

£60m development plans to bring Weir Mill, a Grade II listed former mill in Stockport, back to life. The reimagined Weir Mill will feature a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as 24,000 sq ft of commercial space across the existing and new buildings.

Farnworth Town Centre, Bolton

Following completion of the Masterplan, BDP assisted Bolton Council in preparing a successful bid submission for the Future High Streets Fund. One of the key projects was a proposed mixed use development in the heart of the town centre, incorporating a community hub and urban housing.

Liverpool City Council has given consent for the creation of a new mixed-use development called Springfield Gardens on the site of the former Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Knotty Ash.

UK Pavilion, Milan Expo

A showcase for the best in UK offsite manufacturing and construction techniques - a collaboration between landscape and art that aims to highlight the decline of the world’s bee population.

St John Bosco Arts College

The response uses a simple efficient building form allowing for greater flexibility to create both transformational and inspirational spaces.
