Sport possesses a unique ability to change lives. From team games to the Olympics, competitions unite people across cultures and borders and make for for some of the world’s most exhilarating annual events.
Combined with the influential effect grassroots and community initiatives can have on global health, wellness and community cohesion, we are proud to be industry leaders in sports design.
This season, we are shining a spotlight on sport in all its forms and celebrating the designers, competitors and spectators that steer sports infrastructure.

Why I'm Passionate
About Sport
As sport is played by and for people around the world, we wanted to use this campaign to give the people of our own global practice to take their moment in the spotlight. This is why we created our global internal initiative, ‘I’m passionate about sport because…’, which celebrates our staff and their favourite sport in all its forms! From a national-level basketball player in the UK to an avid recreational trail runner in Peru, and everything in between.

On Tuesday 29th of November, Dipesh Patel will be taking to the podium at this year’s Stadium Business Design and Development Summit to deliver the talk ‘Football in Hot Climates’.
Drawing on the techniques and intricate knowledge used to create the FIFA World Cup Ahmad Bin Ali and Education City stadia, Dipesh will be delving into BDP Pattern’s specialist skills in parametric design.
Joining him for the duration of the conference, delegates include Andrew Capewell, Rachel Baldwin and Gavin Elliott.
