Located in central Greater Yangzhou, the new Ecological and Technological New City covers an area of 8,100 hectares. BDP was invited to take part in an international competition for the conceptual design of this new city.
The masterplan provides a large-scale campus with world-class teaching, laboratory and research facilities.
The masterplan was conceived to respect the contours and context of the site and to integrate the existing network of canals and reservoirs into a cohesive layout
The historical buildings will be renovated to high-end retail, restaurant, leisure, a luxury club and a boutique hotel, and will be known as ‘the Bund X–Change’.
