Les is a co-founder and Principal of BDP Quadrangle whose career has been shaped by a belief that architecture, urban design and city-building can meaningfully improve quality of life. His problem-solving approach to design combines curiosity, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of the forces that shape cities and communities.

Over more than four decades, Les has played a defining role in the growth and evolution of BDP Quadrangle. His work spans master planning, urban housing, adaptive reuse, broadcast and media environments, workplaces and hospitality, with a focus on creating places that respond to both the needs of clients and the broader communities they serve. His leadership has also helped foster successive generations of talent and establish a culture that balances design excellence with strong business acumen.

As the Chair of International Studios on BDP’s Executive Management Group, Les represents BDP’s global reach at the highest level of the practice. In this role, he helps strengthen collaboration across BDP’s global network and ensures that the perspectives, opportunities and operational priorities of its international studios are reflected in leadership-level decision-making. His extensive experience in practice leadership, city-building and the growth of BDP Quadrangle brings an important international perspective to the Executive Management Group.

Les is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and has held numerous leadership roles within the profession, including service on the RAIC National Board of Directors and as Chair of the Urban Land Institute Toronto District Council. His contributions have been recognized with the Ontario Association of Architects’ Order of Da Vinci, the King Charles III Coronation Medal from the RAIC and, most recently, recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
