Lindsay is the founder and head of BDP Pattern. She is a multiple award winning architect and business director with 30+ years experience of company leadership. Working on a range of high profile international stadia in the sports and entertainment sector, she has delivered projects in more than 15 countries, including venues for the FIFA World Cup, Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and Pan American Games. Lindsay has led the delivery of BDP’s most high profile and complex stadia projects from inception to completion.
Lindsay's expertise are in designing for the sports sector and delivering complex geometry. She understands the contractual structure of projects and has a particular experience in the preparation of detailed compliant programmes, scopes of work, fee draw arrangements and deliverable matrices, which enables her to build effective relationships with clients and their project management teams. She also has significant experience of managing multi-party sub-consultant services.
Lindsay won ‘Architect of the Year, 2023’ at the Women in Construction Europe awards, judged by Jane Duncan OBE, ex President of RIBA. Her distinguished career in sports stadium design and company leadership has seen her and her teams deliver 50+ new sport and entertainment venues, including Leeds United's Elland Road expansion, Hill Dickinson Stadium, the masterplan for Ahmedabad's Olympic and Commonwealth Games bid, Yas Marina F1 Circuit redevelopment in Abu Dhabi, Barracuda Bay Stadium in Dalian, China, the Pan-American Games in Peru, and several FIFA World Cup stadia and masterplans. She was also instrumental in the design of the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi; the Regina Stadium in Canada, and Baku National Gymnastics Arena in Azerbaijan.
