Reina wins 2025 ARIDO Impact Award
Reina has received the 2025 ARIDO Impact Award, recognizing interior design that delivers meaningful and measurable impact!

Reina is Canada’s first all-women-led residential development, with women leading across architecture, development, engineering and interior design. From the outset, the project set out to challenge industry norms, embedding equity, inclusivity and lived experience into every decision.
A year-long consultation process engaged more than 140 families, caregivers, and community members. Their insights directly shaped the building’s design and amenity program, resulting in thoughtful features such as stroller parking on every floor, sound-buffered music rooms, flexible suite layouts and a youth-inspired “snack shop.” These spaces are not just conveniences, but community infrastructure that responds to real social needs.

The ARIDO jury recognized Reina’s social, economic and professional contributions: from challenging gender imbalance in development, to setting new benchmarks for family-friendly and inclusive housing, to demonstrating the market value of user-informed, community-driven design.
This recognition is a testament to the creativity, vision and collaborative spirit of the BDP Quadrangle interior design team. We also thank our partners and community participants for shaping a project that redefines what multi-residential living can be.
Congratulations to everyone who helped bring Reina to life. This award celebrates not only a building but a movement toward more inclusive, equitable and community-first design.
