A masterplan-led approach which optimises opportunities for placemaking and integration with future developments.

Using a masterplan-led approach, a new public transport network was proposed, featuring six lines, 75 km of track, 72 stations, and eight major interchanges. The plan aimed to provide a safe, clean, and sustainable alternative to car travel for a growing population.
Stations were designed to vary in size and complexity, with most including retail areas in unpaid zones, while larger interchanges featured covered retail spaces and efficient connections to buses and cars. All stations incorporated custom canopy designs to provide shade and reduce heat, with photovoltaic panels intended to generate renewable energy on site and enhance passenger comfort.
The competition design demonstrates a strong focus on sustainability, placemaking, and integration with future developments.
