BDP Quadrangle wins two 2026 ARIDO Awards
Two BDP Quadrangle projects have been recognized at the 2026 ARIDO Awards, celebrating excellence in Canadian interior design across our education and residential work.
Collège Boréal Toronto Campus received the award in the PRESERVE + RESTORE category. Located within Toronto’s Distillery District, the project transforms historic distillery buildings into contemporary academic environments that balance heritage preservation with the evolving needs of modern education. Original heavy timber, brickwork and industrial artifacts are retained and celebrated alongside flexible learning spaces, hybrid teaching technology, intuitive wayfinding and inclusive design strategies. The result is a distinctive campus that strengthens Collège Boréal’s presence in Toronto while creating a welcoming environment for learning, culture and community.
Westbend Residences was recognized in the LIVE TOGETHER category. Situated in Toronto’s Bloor West neighbourhood, the project is shaped by the character of its context and proximity to High Park. The interiors were conceived as warm, tactile and community-oriented spaces, with residential amenities designed to feel like natural extensions of home rather than conventional condominium environments. A layered palette of warm wood, bronze accents, terrazzo-inspired surfaces and woven textures create a cohesive experience across the lobby, co-working, social, fitness and rooftop amenity spaces.
Together, the two awards reflect BDP Quadrangle’s integrated approach to interior design: creating places that respond thoughtfully to context, support the people who use them and bring architecture and interiors together as one cohesive experience.
