Located in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, the 60-storey residential tower sits adjacent to Edgeley Pond Park and was conceived as both a landmark and a community hub. Designed by BDP Quadrangle as both architect and interior designer, the project delivers a cohesive experience that seamlessly connects the tower’s sculptural exterior expression with a warm, immersive interior environment.
Inspired by the concept of “bringing the outdoors in,” the interiors draw heavily from the surrounding landscape. Natural materials, textured stone, warm wood detailing and layered metallic tones establish a calming and tactile palette, while expansive glazing reinforces visual connections to the park and city beyond. Throughout the tower, the design emphasizes comfort, sophistication and liveability, creating spaces that feel elevated yet deeply personal.

Rather than concentrating amenities in a single location, the project distributes them vertically across multiple levels, transforming the building into a series of interconnected neighbourhoods in the sky. The fourth floor is dedicated to wellness and family-oriented programming, including a fitness centre, yoga studio, outdoor pool, children’s play area and BBQ terraces. The 20th floor functions as a vibrant entertainment destination with indoor and outdoor dining lounges, theatre spaces and bookable social rooms overlooking Vaughan. Above, the 32nd floor offers quieter co-working and lounge spaces designed to support flexible work, informal meetings and moments of retreat.
The ground-floor lobby establishes the tower’s hospitality-driven identity through double-height volumes, custom millwork, brass detailing and richly layered finishes. Conceived as a “third place” between home and city, the lobby blurs the boundary between private residential life and the public realm, encouraging social interaction and fostering a stronger sense of community.
Inclusivity and resilience were central to the design process. Barrier-free circulation, intuitive layouts and equitable access to amenities support residents of all ages and abilities, while durable material selections and adaptive problem-solving ensured the integrity of the design vision throughout construction.

“CG Tower was about redefining what residential high-rise living can feel like. We wanted to create interiors that foster connection to nature, community and to everyday rituals, while delivering the sophistication and comfort typically associated with hospitality environments. The result is a series of spaces that feel welcoming, elevated and genuinely lived in.”

By integrating architecture and interiors into a singular vision, Expo 5, CG Tower creates a resident-focused environment that prioritizes wellbeing, community and a meaningful relationship to the surrounding landscape. The project reflects a broader evolution in residential design, one where amenity, wellness and inclusivity are not added features, but fundamental components of contemporary urban living.

“The architecture and interior design were conceived as one continuous experience. From the tower’s exterior expression to the detailing and atmosphere of the interior spaces, each element was designed to complement the other seamlessly. That integration creates a stronger sense of cohesion throughout the resident experience and reinforces the connection between the building, the landscape and the community around it.”
