Hossam has a key role in Manchester’s portfolio of international work including projects in Sweden, Egypt, Libya and Kuwait.

As a project manager Hossam has managed a large number of key projects from fee bidding stage up to completion including Siemens, Motorola and Hyundai for the semi conductors industry and subsequently the Rope Walks and Liverpool One where he was also closely involved with establishing BDP’s studio in Liverpool.

Hossam qualified as an architect in Egypt before completing an Msc in project management.  He is fluent in French and Arabic as well as English, a great asset in his involvement in the development of BDP’s firmwide international strategy.

Who has been your biggest personal influence? Hassan Fathy who earned the title of the ‘Poet Architect of Egypt’ and his theories in the use of traditional architecture.
