Further award for St John Bosco Arts College

BDP has won the Public Sector Interior Project of the Year award at this year’s Mixology. The award was given to St John Bosco Arts College, Liverpool, on 25 June at Mixology 15, Mix Interiors’ summer ball and awards, held at Old Billingsgate in London. BDP was also shortlisted for Design Practice of the Year.

St John Bosco Arts College is a new build 1,100 place Catholic girls’ secondary school. Colour, graphics and clever internal planning, to minimise circulation space and allow for multiple functions, have created a unique response to the school’s identity and sense of place in its community.

The judges said: “This stunning school has created a unique, exciting and stimulating environment for learning.”

The prestigious Mix Interiors awards are given to the groundbreakers and boundary pushers of the commercial interiors sector recognising the most influential people and companies.

BDP won the same award with Cardiff Central Library in 2010, and also the following year for the City Campus at the University of Wales, Newport.
