Lindsay is an architect director and member of the leadership team for BDP Pattern, the sports and entertainment division of BDP.

She has over 25 years’ experience working on a range of high profile projects, particularly in the sports sectors, and also in office, retail, transport, sport, education, master planning, pharmaceutical and civic.

Lindsay has been instrumental in winning major sports projects including two stadia and masterplans for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and eight venues for the Pan-American and Para-Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru. She was also project lead on the Aquatics Centre in the Videna National sports complex for the Pan-American Games which included two Olympic size pools upgrading the sports facility into a world-class training centre.

The ocean waves on the façade of VIDENA Aquatic Centre to highlight the symbolism of the sea and its relevance for the City of Lima.

City of Regina Stadium

This design responds to the city’s unique climate and incredible skyscapes.

Videna Athletic Stadium

The inspiration for this project is reflected at the base of the VIDENA Athletic Stadium and the Bowling Centre, as well as in the light fabric roof of the Athletic Stadium and metal facade of the Bowling Centre.

Videna National Sports Complex

The masterplan of the VIDENA sports park was part of the redeveloped strategy for the 2019 PanAmerican and Para-pan American Games.

Videna Velodrome

Sustainable upgrade to the existing outdoor track built in 2014. To meet the Parapan and Panamerican Games, and the UCI requirements for a Category II velodrome, a building was added around the outdoor track.

How to deliver the world’s largest sporting event

Back in 2013, Lima beat three other cities to host, for the first time, the fourth largest sporting event in the world - the XVIII Pan American and Para-pan American Games and this month, it was announced that the city will host the games again in 2027.
