Urban Integration and Infrastructure: How Crossrail is transforming London

As part of Green Sky Thinking Week (28th April – 2nd May) BDP will host a quick-paced event (6 min presentations = 12 slides x 30 seconds per slide with five speakers:

  • Sam Richards, head of urban integration at Crossrail will introduce Crossrail's urban integration work. 
  • BDP's planning director, Anna Sinnott will show BDP’s masterplanning work for Crossrail in Whitechapel and Woolwich with a focus on the local authorities.
  • Nick Edwards, urbanism director at BDP will present on public realm associated with Crossrail.
  • John Dales from Urban Movement will discuss the complexities of movement to, from and around Crossrail stations including walking, cycling and bus interchange, in order to create high quality urban realm.
  • Mark Lucas, head of inward investment and enterprise and the Crossrail champion for the London Borough of Redbridge, will explain how they are responding to the major change which the arrival of four Crossrail stations in the borough may bring.

Green Sky Thinking is an Open City week long programme for built environment and property professionals highlighting innovative thinking and practice on how to design sustainably in London.  By profiling current developments and strategy across the city it brings together experts, industry leaders and collaborative teams to move towards developing a more sustainable environment.
