BIM Show Live

When: 1st – 2nd February
Where: Boiler Shop, Sussex Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 3PF

Associate Elliott Crossley is a speaker on both days of the BIM Show Live 2017 conference in Newcastle upon Tyne. On day one he will present the closing session, Technology is the Future of Architecture But It Won’t Replace You, highlighting the role technology will play in the future and the opportunities it will give architects and the wider construction industry. As the environmental impact of urbanisation squeezes the industry to work harder, the power of communities will provide the key to unlock the full potential of technology and build relationship networks to work with it.

On the second day he will discuss How to Flourish in a Collaborative Environment: Design Technology at BDP, offering tips on how to organise and manage a design team better. BDP is the first UK business to achieve BIM Level 2 certification and our interdisciplinary approach provides the perfect environment to push the boundaries of current technology across all professions and sectors. Elliott will illustrate with examples of recently completed or in construction projects including the award winning Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Cardiff and Vale College and the AstraZeneca Global R&D and Corporate HQ, currently on site in Cambridge.
