Design associate Richard has extensive experience of designing graphics for buildings and spaces.

He has a recognised expertise in strategic wayfinding and producing 2D and 3D design solutions for all aspects of the built environment.

His current work on wayfinding strategies, brand awareness and environmental graphics for AstraZeneca’s new Research and Development building in Cambridge together with major hospitals, including 3Ts Brighton and the National Children’s Hospital in Dublin, has produced solutions that respond to the functional aspirations of the clients’ brief, resulting in environments that create maximum brand/visitor experience and contribute to the culture and unique sense of place.

Children’s Hospital of Ireland - presentation

BDP’s London Studio sought to create a clear, compelling document to present our scheme for a new children’s hospital in Dublin.

A unique approach to hospital wayfinding that followed extensive consultation with patient and user stakeholders to identify the core wayfinding issues. The result is a solution seen by many as setting a benchmark for wayfinding in hospitals.
