Lighting director Colin Ball is one of the presenters at the GIS International Interior Architecture and Design Expo in Krakow. He will chair a thematic panel discussion, looking at new trends in lighting design, on the second day of the conference and then at 16.00 will present a keynote address on how clarity of ideas for a lighting brief aids the whole design team and communicates the architecture of a space or building to individuals. He will feature many of the projects he and his team have completed recently including the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and Brownhart Gardens in London, the Enterprise Centre at University of East Anglia and Essex Business School. He will also explain how important the clarity of vision and close teamworking was to the great success of the UK Pavilion at Milan Expo on which an interdisciplinary BDP team worked with international artist Wolfgang Buttress.
