Race Equality Week 2022

raceequality.jpg

With an ongoing programme of thought-provoking initiatives and events, we are stimulating conversations, ideas and learning, to shape our commitment to provide a positive environment for both our employees and the users of the built environments we create.

Take a look at what we have been doing:

Safe spaces
Offers our employees an anonymous online platform to exchange experiences and ideas.

Toolbox talks
Invited speakers discuss diversity and bring further understanding and allyship, such as ‘Developing Racial Awareness’ and ‘How to be an Effective Ally’.

Perspectives vlogs
Our employees share their protected characteristic life and work experiences, in a series of vlogs.

Courageous conversations
Challenging yet important conversations with inspiring guest speakers including Dr Anne Marie Imafidon MBE (Stemettes), Professor David Olusoga OBE (BAFTA award-winning broadcaster and film-maker), Dian Small (The Cultural Architect), Juliana Santos (Graduate Public Health Engineer), Sonia Watson OBE (Blueprint for All) and Bola Abisogun OBE FRICS (BPIC Network).

Driving cultural change
Engagement with EDI consultant, The EW Group, to support and audit our EDI journey.

Commitment to deliver tangible results
Set out in our EDI strategy, policy and action plan.

Delivering action not just words!
Employing Jess Dunning, a dedicated EDI co-ordinator, to keep EDI at the top of our agenda!

Diversity is about recognising and respecting differences between individuals and/or groups of people and realising there is an inherent positive value to those differences. We are excited to be making tangible changes and are committed to continuously create a more inclusive environment.
