Golnaz is a Sustainability Director at BDP, responsible for coordinating and driving design processes to deliver highly sustainable and regenerative architecture projects across the global practice. She plays a key role in driving the adoption of the Climate and Social Action Design Framework at BDP, which aims to accelerate the goal of achieving Whole Life Net Zero Carbon in all sectors.

Golnaz has helped to deliver numerous, complex low-carbon exemplar projects, by applying detailed research and innovation, while embracing a holistic approach to sustainability and whole-life design.

In her previous role at Stanton Williams, she led the studio’s sustainability and environmental design strategies; helping the practice to become one of the first architecture firms in the world to set Science Based Targets. Prior to that, she spent eight years at Foster + Partners, where she worked on award-winning, high-profile international projects, including the Bloomberg Headquarter in London and Apple Campus in Cupertino (California).

She is also a published academic author, international guest speaker and visiting lecturer. She taught design and construction courses at the University of Palermo in Italy and was a member of IBIPSA-USA Research and Emerging Simulation Technology Committees.
