Double win at Revo Gold Awards

Westgate Oxford and Meadowhall Refurbishment have won Revo Gold Awards at the annual ceremony, which celebrates the developments, investments and asset management in the retail property and placemaking sector.

For the third year in a row, BDP designed projects received awards, and this year Westgate Oxford won the Re:new category where it was recognised for positively impacting its surrounding and sensitive environment. Revo has praised the project as a "new generation of retail-led, mixed use developments where customer experience is everything."

Sheffield's Meadowhall Refurbishment also won the Re:fresh+ Over £10 million build contract category which acknowledged the reinvention of the shopping destination due to active investment into the existing mall.

Retail director Adrian Price said “We are thrilled to win another two awards building on the success of the Lexicon last year. Westgate has been one of the truly extraordinary collaborations between BDP and a number of high profile architects including Dixon Jones, Allies and Morrison, Panter Hudspith and Glenn Howells Architects.

The Meadowhall Refurbishment has completely transformed the image of a tired regional shopping mall with a fresh and innovative design, beating very tough competition in this category. We are extremely proud of this achievement in this challenging and rapidly evolving retail environment.”
