Project details

A new landmark 41 storey tower that resolves a complex urban site at the heart of Stratford, East London, the gateway to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The building is a student residence for the growing local education institutions and is characterised by amenity spaces running through the building allowing the students to grow and develop as a community. Extensive landscaping at the three levels of the public realm transform the experience of the hard urban environment.

The 41 storey building is formed of cluster flats (approximately 900 beds) with very high levels of amenity provision internally and externally. Every opportunity has been taken to maximise biodiversity and planting at all levels of the building including new public landscape and urban realm at three levels. Public facing facilities and retail/café are located on the first four floors of the building. The proposal is zero carbon in use with prefabrication maximised to minimise embodied carbon.
