Banco Santander Headquarters

Facts

Location Client Cost Completion
Madrid, Spain Banco Santander £100m 2004

Project details

Fit out of the entire Madrid campus for this banking group.

We developed and coordinated the design with the Madrid-based client and an associated Madrid-based designer and also with the campus building architect Kevin Roche in USA. We created resource pods where we located office services which provided centralised facilities and a focal identity for each zone.

Through the use of colour, material and form we evolved a design concept that navigated users throughout the campus and individual buildings to their desk.

Designing a million square feet of interiors for an international corporation is always a challenge. In Madrid we helped shape a new environment and a new corporate culture.

Sarah Turnbull, Interior design director
